Samoan Language Week

Talofa Lava Everybody!
This week we celebrated Samoan Language week with an amazing assembly.  We had a very special visitor who came especially to see our assembly!  Some parts of the assembly were really funny and we laughed out loud.  We also got to see some dances from the Samoan group - they were fantastic.  We can't wait to see more from them.
That's all for this week, talk to you next week - BYE!

Ready, Set, Go!

HI everybody,
On Thursday we did ready, set, go in the hall.  It is helping us to get better with our balancing.  We go to ready, set, go every Thursday.  This week we did the frog jump, we balanced bean bags on our heads, we balanced bean bags on our hands and pretended we were planes.  We crawled like a bear, we pretended to be waiters and we practiced being a bridge.  We can't wait to learn some more next week!
That's all for this week, talk to you next week.
Bye!

Welcome Back to Term 2

HI everybody,

Welcome back to Term 2 2014.  What an exciting term we have to look forward to!
This week we started our new inquiry "Better Citizens for a Digital Today - How can I be a good digital citizen?".  We talked about what we think citizenship means and what we think good citizens do.  We watched Despicable Me and talked about what kind of citizens the characters are.  Come and check out our thoughts in Room 6!
We also created a citizen for our class.  We named her Citizen Rose.  We list our learning around her, so she is learning to be a good citizen at the same time as us! You can come and see her in Room 6 :)

We can't wait to let you know what else we are learning about in Room 6.
Talk to you next week.  In the meantime, check out our photos of Citizen Rose below!
